Sabrina passed her Green Star Accredited Professional Exam given by the Green Building Council of Australia with a score of 92%. She is is now a Green Star Accredited Professional and offers green consulting to clients and other architects who need to achieve a Green Star rating for their projects or who need advice on how to make their projects more environmentally sustainable.

After a six year process and a lot of paperwork, Sabrina became an Australian citizen on 13th November 2006.

Sabrina finished up the schematic design for an $80 million luxury resort. The resort was going to include 40 villas, a main reception building, and luxury spa. The schematic design included many ESD strategies including solar hot water, building integrated photovoltaics, passive solar design, recycled materials, water recycling for irrigation and toilet flushing, etc.

Sabrina received her architect's registration by the New South Wales Architect's Registration Board on September 28th. Her registration number is #7410. She is also a registered architect in California #27850.

The Green Building Council of Australia's mission is to define and develop a sustainable property industry in Australia and to drive the adoption of green building practices through market-based solutions. The Council's objective is to promote sustainable development and the transition of the property industry to implementing green building programs, technologies, design practice and operations. Sabrina was recently appointed to the Education Committe for the Green Building Council of Australia. Sabrina is currently designing a small eco-village consisting of twenty small environmentally sustainable cluster houses, a permaculture garden, photovoltaics, detention basins, rainwater storage tanks, and permeable paving. The small eco-complex will have a pool and small clubhouse as well. Sabrina developed the master plan for a new residential estate located in Bulli, NSW. The development will include 500-600 new dwellings consisting of eight different product types including single-family residences, villas, townhouses, terraced apartments, and six storey apartmets. The project will include a large open space 'Central Park' and will have a recreation precinct consisting of tennis courts and a new wellness/recreation centre. Master Plan

Sabrina became a member of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects. She is currently working on a number of residential development projects as well as conducting an Urban Design / Feasibility Study for a transit-oriented development consisting of a railway/bus interchange concourse surrounded by residential, commercial, and retail space. Sabrina moved to Sydney, Australia on January 17th. She has joined the firm Conybeare Morrison as a Senior Design Architect. She has applied for membership in the Royal Australian Institute of Architects which she expects to receive shortly. She is still offering architectural services in California as well as 'Green' Building Consulting through her firm EcoDesign International

Sabrina completed Form•Z Professional Training. Form•Z was used to design the new World Trade Center as well as the spaceships in StarWars and StarTrek and is one of the most powerful and versatile 3D Modeling programs available today. Sabrina will be applying the skills she learned to enhance the conceptual design process for the new San Jose International Airport Project led by Gensler and The Steinberg Group. Sabrina Phillips, AIA was a Guest Speaker at the first Bay Area Sustainability Symposium for the Built Environment held on April 25, 2003. She presented the Camden Community Center as a Case Study for a 'Green' Civic Building. The Camden Community Center is under construction and will be one of the first LEED Silver Buildings in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sabrina completed Professional Training in VisualDOE 3.1, an advanced Energy Modeling Program. With this software it is possible to optimize energy performance of a building during the design phase and accurately calculate the energy savings before the building is constructed. Sabrina was elected to Secretary of the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. She is currently the liason to the Committee on the Environment and is helping organize the first Bay Area Sustainability Symposium for the Built Environment to be held in April 25, 2003. Sabrina Phillips gained her certfication as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional by the United States Green Building Council. She is leading the design effort for the Camden Community Center to become the first LEED Silver 'Green' Building in San Jose, California. She is currently offering consulting services related to designing and certifying 'Green' Buildings through the USGBC LEED Program.
